I think this stems from a misunderstanding of the AHL. The AHL isn't a high-scoring league. If you put legitimate NHLers in the AHL, they don't necessarily blow the doors off the place.
Baertschi has .69 points per game at the AHL level this year. Last year, .71. Adirondack's leading scorer (Shore) has .78 ppg and most of those were scored for another team. Sven's are pretty decent numbers for a 21/22 year old, and about the same as Poirier who everyone is hyped about.
