I blame a bit of this on Feaster who clearly made Sven think that he had cemented his role on the team. He sold out Sven's development to sell hope to fans reluctant to see the writing on the wall. Just a disaster that period of purgatory this franchise went through to avoid making the decision to rebuild.
On to Sven, he's just not that great. Sure maybe he'll beat the odds and turn it around but he doesn't have great speed, a great shot, great playmaking or great hustle. He's good or decent at those things but if he can't even hack it as an offensive threat in the AHL what are his chances of being an NHL player? Very small. A 2nd rounder is great value.
