Are you legally able to work in the states as of now? If not, is your prospective company experienced with rellocating people?
I had a situation around a year ago that put would have put me in 7th heaven professionally, but I ended up getting screwed with immigration, ended up turning down 2 other offers from legit developers and being underemployed for months. I'm actually just now finally getting back on track career wise. Beware. Make sure they know whats involved with importing a canuck, and are willing to go through the wall for you.
Btw... not to thread Hijack... but incase anyone was wondering I was able to get a new game design contract within 8 days of being laid off last week... So... viva le experience, and thanks to the helpful responces to my thread.
