Here is the reasoning for bringing Ryan in.

1) Giambi has good career #s vs Halladay, .340 average in 47 ABs.
2) Halladay didn't bring his best stuff to the park last night.
3) Giambi is left handed, Halladay is right.
4) BJ Ryan has allowed 3 hits against lefties before last night, all season.

I thought far and away it was the right move, Ryan has been absolutely dominate vs. LH this season and has been putting together an amazing season as well.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

But your point is valid that Gibby has struggled w/ the bullpen this season.
