Question for the professional aviators here: I have a PPL and about 100 hours, but it's been more than a decade since I've logged any PIC time. If I was to drop everything and work on getting additional licenses and ratings (multi-engine, IFR, commercial, ATPL, etc.), how long would it take until I could get a job flying professionally, and approximately how much would it cost? At age 35, is it too late to switch careers? Will I be too old to get an airline job by the time I get all the required ratings and build up enough flying time?
