So far, Gaudreau is a maximum opportunist. If reads the pass as the best play there is no indecision. I like that. He has minimum time and experience in this league and still needs time to adapt. The upside is he's been able to survive and thrive. It's his rookie season in the NHL. Will he be passing and creating opportunities in the future? Hopefully. Will he find a way to bury pucks on his breakouts, hopefully. Let's not forget in the world of NHL experience, he's just a newborn and the fact that he has performed this great to date, can only lead to better.

Also, the one thing about the Kane comparison is that Kane has done the work, relentlessly, to become the world class player he is. Gaudreau is really gonna have to keep moving to be on that level. And I hope he does.

Does anyone have information on Gio?
