Gio is the same age as Wideman .... Probably should get a couple of 1st rounders for him now because when Bennett is 25 and hitting his prime Gio will be 30 freaking 9.

Calgary would likely be one of the top destinations for two way defensemen because of the style that the Flames employ. This is important when it comes to the offseason and free agency. They would be better able to generate points as a Flame vs most other places, and more points leads to bigger contracts afterwards. Plus you have the whole team on the rise angle.
Also, teams will be in cap trouble in the offseason with the cap going down, so we might be able to pick off a quality guy that has a bad contract from a team that needs to go in another direction like Boston/Chicago did when they dealt Boychuk/Leddy to the Isles.
