Yes they have Monahan, and Hudler isn't half bad in corners, and overall the hockey IQ on that lines makes up for a lot. It still feels to me that maybe they should at least have an alternate setup when playing a team like Anaheim or Los Angeles in Beast Mode.
(Generally I also feel Colborne is under-utilized. But in Hartley I trust. The results speak for themselves.)

Gaudreau started the season on a line with Colborne and Byron, and persistently underwhelmed. I think that now that he has made the adjustment to playing in the NHL it might be worthwhile to try something like this once more. Like you said, Colborne is good in the corners and on the wall, and Byron is a buzzsaw.
