I'm not trashing his character. I'm just saying he made a decision to stay close to home out of convenience and coming out in the media and saying he took a discount as a favor to the Flames so they could sign other players is a little disingenuous. Even when he leaves I will still appreciate the player for what he did for the team but you only have to look at the end of Kipper and Iginla's tenures to see that things can be handled better.
