I too hope he does well as a UFA. I don't see most of the posts talking about moving him as criticizing him as a player - it's about not losing an asset for nothing. And the ones who do criticize his play? Some of the criticisms are valid IMO, some aren't.
I just think he's the most movable asset that doesn't hurt the Flames long term and can get a decent return.
