I wonder if Glencross would sign with the Oilers in the off season. If his course has run with the Flames, he could be the veteran presence the Oilers are looking for. We all know he is an Alberta boy and has family here. Not only that but he is expecting another child here soon. As well he has a ranch in the area for all of his horses and stuff.
Past all the personal things Oilers LW Depth Chart is (Hall, Hendricks, Pouliot, Gazdic, Hamilton), not to mention Petry salary (3.075M) coming off the books and JSchultz becoming restricted (I can't see him making 3.675M again given his d-zone liability). I bet Glencross could push for 4 mil a year there and probably get it.
There is that one little caveat of winning a cup though... so maybe Ducks/Pitt for now, and then Oilers in offseason
