Thats how I read it as well, I think he was saying he would like to stay in Calgary and see his contract through, but he would also be happy to go to another team that (also) has a chance to win a cup.
WRT his utilization, I don't think he was necessarily complaining about ice time vs (Jones, Johnny, et al) but moreso that he wants to be playing 20 min a night and not 15. I don't read that as a bad thing, I too wish he was Glencross circa 2009 as well.
Personally, I'm hoping Treliving still holds Glencross's price tag at a 1st round pick / early 2nd or good prospect (i.e. Pittsburg's Poutliet, Harrington...) rather then fold and give in for a 3rd/4th. I would be ok keeping him on the roster and losing him via UFA if the compensation is a 3rd/4th round pick, Glencross still has to pad his stats to get his UFA pay day which could still help us in a playoff run. It also keeps some depth (Wolf, Sven, etc) to help our AHL team make the playoffs as well.
