Most of the other countries are arranging transportation for their own citizens but if there are a few in a particularly bad situation and we have room, bring them along. It's pretty simple.
I am not a supporter of Harper or his government but I commend him for this action. A truly Canadian thing to do.

That is what is happening. CBSA officials have been instructed to facilitate CLOSE family members of Canadian Citizens on thier entry to Canada. That doesn't mean we open the door for another 40,000 refugees.
