How do you know Kane is hated by his team mates? Bold statement. Dont say he wore a tracksuit...that will prove how lame you are being.
I was going to get frustrated by your post - then I realized you are a Man Chitty fan.

The example is a poor one not because one is a soccer player and the other is a hockey player, or where they rank in their respective sports. It is a poor one because there has always been very little (if any) rumors of team mates not like Ronaldo, and the things he does for his community (helped tremendously in the relief efforts of his hometown in Madeira after a horrid mudslide) and his generosity when it comes to charities (as you listed, and there are literally hundreds of other examples) is just phenomenal.
Ronaldo is gets 'hate' in the media for when he doesn't perform well (miss an important kick, and you are hated for a long time!). People thought (assumptions) that he cared too much about his looks - even how he refused to get any tattoos in a sport where almost everyone has a number of them. Then it comes out that he refuses to get tattoos since he won't be eligible to donate blood for (IIRC) a year (maybe more? Don't know how the rules work), and it is yet another cause for him (quite a personal one), so people stopped making a fuss about that.
Kane has been criticized openly for quite some time from numerous different sources. Fans having some sort of interaction (or altercation), or restaurants complaining that Kane doesn't feel he should pay his own way, or team mates complaining about him (from junior right through until the Jets), etc. Where are the positives to balance it out? Where are these current or former team mates that are siding openly with Kane? Not that it should be a popularity contest or anything, and shouldn't necessarily speak to someone's innocence or guilt, but there is literally ZERO people that have come forward denying anything at all.
It is fine if you want to support someone from getting mud slung at him unfairly, but you need to come out with more 'proof' or substance in your posting than just scolding the rest of the board for having a poor moral compass. Absolutely nobody is seemingly refuting that he is a problem, and to me, that goes beyond 'misunderstandings'.
