I can see it happening. I wouldnt bet on it. Some people seem so down on Kane. His attitude, his ability or potential ability - everything seems so negative on here.. Between the tracksuit incident thread and this one it makes me scratch my head.
Come on he couldn't have screwed all your girlfriends. What is it?
Isnt this the guy who knocked out Matt Cooke in one punch!?!
All jokes aside - I dont get the Kane hate.
Sure he has a lot to prove and can come across as a bit egotistical and immature but I think most of it is unfair. He is a good young player with a lot of maturing to do on the ice and off it. But I can see him doing good. Not seguin-good but I can see him carving out a decent enough career in Buffalo. Probably never 40 goals - but is it THAT hard to imagine? OR has everyone just fallen in hate with him since the vegas picture of him with cash on his back doing push ups?
The NHL and its judgemental fans need to embrace different types of characters like they do in soccer, football basketball and most other sports. I know its a game of character and all that but this sport needs people like Kane to grow and appeal to more people.
I wouldnt call it racism because that would be too easy. But it makes me wonder why this game hates flamboyant slightly cocky players. I'd hate to play against them - but everyone loves supporting a player like that if they are on your team. Look at PK in MTL he is loved by the city

Its not hating flamboyant cocky players. Its hating me first, dressing room wrecking players. And Kane has a long enough history of the latter. He hasn't proved much in this league yet besides what everybody already knows, that he has skill. Takes more than skill to be a winner.
