I hate to say it, but it is almost time that Ukraine surrenders and starts negotiating terms, because Russia will get it eventually anyway and no one will stop them.

  • Cede the territory in exchange for debt forgiveness,
  • compensation to Ukrainians that wish to relocate and don't want Russian citizenship,
  • a permanent and enforceable peace treaty, and
  • the acknowledgement for Ukraine to join NATO/EU without Russian interference.
Eventually they are going to lose the territory and won't get anything for it, or it will be susceptible to rebel extortions forever.
In terms of the two highlighted ones, I doubt that the Ukraine will ever believe that. the 1994 diarming treaty was supposed to be that and the Russians even have their signature on it and it didn't matter. Putin will continue to push in the Ukraine. This ceasefire will be over in a matter of days.

The second part, the Russians will never allow to happen. They won't abide by their border being crowded by NATO nations armed by the Americans and British. Its just as likely that Russia would demand a neutral state status for the Ukraine with a cap on arms for any full treaty to happen.

This isn't over by a long shot, cease fires tend not to last that long.
