I've heard Hrudy's thoughts about a play with a lot of blocked shots just equals a guy whose hemmed in his zone too much, I've seen that opinion then regurgitated here without a second though... but screw that... Russell is just an effective shot blocker. Good at getting to the areas he needs to and knowing when go make the block and more importantly how without injury.
