Sure, throw in an apple and a yogurt -- both those things individually cost about 50 cents or less. Or bring left overs from your dinner the night before. My wife and I purposely try to make things that will be good as leftovers the next day during my shifts (stir frys, pastas, etc.). That way the cost of your dinner is spread out across three meals (or more, depending on how much left overs you have).
