Treat it the same as handing someone cash because that's essentially what it is. Is it someone who you'd be willing to hand cash to and expect them to hand you a valid ticket in return? If yes, you're probably good. If no, I wouldn't do it.

If it's someone you work with or see on a regular basis, and can track down if the ticket is no good, do it. If you buy from someone on CP who is an established member with a history of selling tickets in the Buy & Sell forum, you're likely safe too. If it's a random stranger on Kijiji, take the same precautions you'd take buying from any random person.

I've sold numerous tickets on CP and only accept eTransfers for payment and then send the tickets directly to the buyer from my STH account. The good thing about buying from a STH is that once you accept their ticket transfer offer, you have complete control of the ticket. Any tickets they may have printed previously are no longer valid, and they no longer have access to the ticket through their account.

Ultimately, it's buyer beware, and if you want full protection, I'd buy through StubHub or the Ticketmaster Ticket Exchange. You'll end up paying more, but you're protected.

I would have no concerns buying Flames tickets from an established member of CP (if it's a new member with no history, I'd be cautious, but I don't think new members are allowed to post tickets here for that reason).
