I don't see equal fault - Kane IMO has the lions share.
That said, the fact that O'Brien and Warrener say that's how it always has been doesn't make this sort of corrective behaviour right. Heck, even if it's right for some, it doesn't make it right for all. I think Hartley has said something like you need to be tough with some players and work more gently with others because they react differently. Buf either read Kane wrong or knew he'd react badly. Either way, not smart for the team.
