We often go to Grand Pearl on 64 Ave NE -- it has mixed reviews though (my rule of thumb with Asian restaurants is to go for the food, not the service).

Ginger Beef Peking House is another option, although I haven't been there in years (various locations in Calgary).

Silver Dragon is a popular place with the downtown crowd (in Chinatown).

Also, I think a CP member's family owns Golden Inn Restaurant downtown. Open late night (i.e. post-game) -- however, I believe it is Cantonese style (not Peking style) so no ginger beef.

Initially they had to serve a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches to please customers who weren't ready for the new Chinese dishes. That's when Lily's husband, George Wong who was also the restaurant's chef, decided to take out an old beef recipe he had used while in England and tweaked it to satisfy the beef eating habits of Cow Town: he coated the beef strips in batter.

The new recipe was initially called "Deep fried shredded beef in chili sauce" and the word about its delicious taste and texture soon spread around town. Ginger beef was born.
Tried it last year just for fun. It's still listed on the menu as "Deep fried shredded beef in chili sauce" -- and surprisingly it tastes exactly like its name. Worth trying once but I don't think I'll be back.
