But Bush is using the same anti-terrorism plan as Clinton instituted at the end of his presidency now after having dropped it when he first came into power.
Seriously, read a few books. The hypocrisy of everything you say in mind numbing. You won't watch Farenheit 9/11 because it only shows one point of view, but you also base all of your opinions (in this thread anyway) on a negative review showing one opinion, the opinion of your (terrible sounding) teacher, and the fact that you live in a conservative community. This is why you're sounding so uninformed, because you're not making an effort to inform yourself.
The 'talking points' Lanny is referring to are what political parties use to reinforce the opinions of people who don't bother getting any real information. Like Kerry being a 'flip-flopper' citing the fact that he voted for and against the invasion of Iraq. As long as people don't actually look into the fact that there were two different versions to vote on.
Here's an example, on a bill to 'protect mothers' that would classify the murder of a pregnant mother as a double homicide. Well Kerry obviously can't vote for that because if it was a double homicide then that would mean that the fetus would have to be viewed as a living person with rights and then it would be pretty difficult to say that abortions should be legal. So after this vote all of a sudden Kerry is 'against protecting pregnant women' and people say it over and over so people who have a casual interest in politics all of a sudden think that he must not care about pregnant women without considering any of the implications of the vote.
Please, before coming back to argue, do some reading and learn a few things about the world. I recommend Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them by Al Franken, regardless of your left-right position its a good book to read to understand how the media is used.
(And please in the future keep the Saddam-Napolean comparison to a minimum...)
