Kessel is a very good offensive player who is not a leader, doesn't play a 200' game and has a very questionable fitness level. That simply ain't exactly something all teams are in the market for.

Kessel could be traded tomorrow and get the Leafs a great return.
You can name every negative you want to try to spin it like he has begative value, but many GMs would love to have a guy who puts up those stats every year. There are very few of them in the NHL. I think david Poile for onem, would love to have him.
