The disparity between the length of a Raymond contract, and a Richards contract, is also an interesting factor. An option is to retain on both contracts, making the final 2 years of Richards more palatable, and giving LA 2.25M cap relief over the first 3 years. The last 2 years of Richards would be a 4.25M hit, comparatively.
