For people saying it isn't worth the risk, it would depend on what the reward would be. If the kings said they'd give us Toffoli, Pearson and 2 first round picks if we took Richards and gave them Stajan, would you still say no because it isn't worth the risk? I know that would never happen but it depends on how desperate the kings get in the next couple of weeks. If they're in a position to make another trade that benefits them now but need to get rid of Richards' contract then they might be more willing to sacrifice their future to do so.
Without knowing exactly what they're willing to give up, you can't say it isn't worth it. If they think they're getting rid of that for anything less than a first rounder though, they're dreaming.
