We musn't forget that getting Chacin back will be like trading for a #3 starter at the deadline. If Burnett can pitch like he did today the team sets up nicely 1-4, and then its just a matter of one of Janssen or one of the other kids grabbing that 5th spot.

BTW on a related note, one of the most under-rated best bargains in MLB this season has been Reed Catalajohnson. What a player!
This series vs. the Yankees is basically going to determine whether we are buyers or sellers at the deadline. JP has said as much.

On the bright side, if we do decide to sell, we've got some extremely attractive assets. Lilly would hands down be the best available starter on the market - which is quite sad really - so he could at least fetch a very decent return.

Speier is also one of the better SU guys in the league available, another quality return. Hillenbrand might have a few suitors... but there seems to be more bats than Pitching available - with the Huff trade last week, he didn't exactly garner a spectacular return.
