I was. Some of the Aldermen from that era served long after Ralph moved on (Dale Hodges, Bob Hawkesworth, Barb Scott, Sue Higgins, Al Duerr), some have become very active in private industries (Tim Bardsley, Ray Clark). All from very opposite political views and backgrounds. Yet, a unanimous expression of love for their time during Ralph's tenure in any public or private speaking arrangements. Even Dale Hodges, a fiscal hawk and a seriously boring curmudgeon remembered Ralph with respect.
