Every ticket, every time; not that I get that many anymore.

1. Go to the traffic court kiosk at the Calgary Court Center on the date specified on your fine notice, speak with the Justice of the Peace. Ask to meet with the Crown Prosecutor.

2. Meet with the Crown and ask for a reduction to keep the integrity of your license, or whatever, it doesn't really matter. Just ask to have a reduction.

3. You may be presented with a couple options, fine reduction + demerit reduction, Fine increase complete removal of demerits, etc...

4. Make your choice, then ask for time to pay or pay at the CCC near the JoP kiosks.

This might not work with all traffic related offences, it has worked every time I have used it with speeding related offences.

Worth the half-day off work for $100 and a few demerit points.
