Other peoples' scouting. The Flames had their list and stuck to it.
based on the fact that Shinkaruk fell as far as he did, they were not the only ones with reservations.
The
only difference between the Flames and the other teams drafting between 10th and 24th is that Shinkaruk is from Calgary. That's the only reason the Flames (and no one else) are challenged for the pick.
