I think that's what it comes down to. I'm not sure why people are comparing Bollig vs Wolf's AHL point totals. That's not what either of their roles are for. Fact is, Bollig was brought here to be an 'enforcer' who could also play and not be a liability. Something that most NHL teams would find as valuable. He's disappointed in that regard. But in the (very) few occasions he has been that player in games, he's been able to turn games around. We need a guy like that, and Bollig sucks at that. I'd say Bouma is the best we have at that. Wolf has been scouted to potentially be that guy also. He's not going to be brought up to put up points, but the fact that he is capable of that is a bonus. He's here for his physical play and to be one of those guys who can turn a game around playing that way. None of the guys on our roster do that currently, especially not Bollig. So I can see why some people already have Wolf rated higher, myself included.
I really hope he gets the chance to showcase himself at the NHL level. He seems like he has a great personality and is a great team mate. I think he'd do just fine on the Flames.
