Whatever it is, you really think it was the lack of an available/suitable date holding this back from going forward? The place is as inhabitable as McMahon or the stadium in Regina is in the winter no matter how much nicer it is.
The NHL wants it to be hosted in December, The Bombers and the CFL said February. The Bombers were okay with February, as long as the NHL paid for heating during the winter (not going to happen). Now it will be December 2016. Do I think it is stupid, of course, but that's the reality. It has nothing to do with being able to afford it. Standard garbage argument from a clueless outsider.
