Of course finding our own success within the division has helped, but lucky for us what was perceived as the toughest division in hockey going in hasn't been as dominant this season.

Pacific has five legitime playoff contenders, and out of those we're the only team that would be considered a surprise to win at least a round or two. Very hard to win consistently when that's your competition.
Plus since the Oilers just give points to everyone, they don't help make differences between teams either
Personally I think we're lucky to be in such a tough division. Playing against very good teams all the time is the best thing for development.
