Totally agree. You don't wait around to get a ruling on whether it was clean or not - if they run at your best players, you push back.
Look at Staal and Phaneuf last night - Phaneuf's hit was clean, but Staal defended his brother anyway. You HAVE to do that or teams will take liberties.
