Out of 53 states (including USVI), it is legal to possess a switchblade in 42. It is legal to carry one in 39. I wouldn't call that most.
Assuming you're talking about a FA AK-47, the process of actually acquiring a FA firearm in the US is pretty much always grossly exaggerated. You can't simply "go and grab one". You first need make sure your state allows then, then find one being sold, which is tough since anything after 1986 is not available for public sale. Once you find one, you have to cough up the price, which was about $12,000 back in 2004 for an AK, a lot of FA firearms are now north of $20,000. Then it takes about 3 months for the background check, registration and tax stamp. Price and availability are hugely prohibitive.
As for nunchucks in Canada, as already stated, they are prohibited. Can't import, purchase, possess (unless you have a business exemption) or make them.
