My only claim to fame was the old usenet hockey pool run by Andrew Scott (or Scott Andrews?). Worked like a stock market where you bought and sold players after each game based on the number of extrapolated points they were projected to score by the end of the season. You started with 1,000 points, and bought and sold through out the year. I set a record of 1,800 points by seasons end that stood for about 20 years. Don't know if the pool even exists anymore.
Would be interesting to hear if anyone else here participated in that pool. I know we had a huge number of people from dozens of countries around the world back in 1991/92, so maybe someone else remembers it.
