thread's taking a lot of un-Shory directions but excellent banter anyway.
Re:
Warrener- will add to the voice that I love listening to them as a group in the morning, that being said, all of them need to be there, and it seems like lately they're batting 50% when all 3 of them are actually around.
Bouma- Love Bouma and always have. Was concerned when he wasn't re-signed and was pumped when he was. He plays hard and with a lot of character. He's tough as nails and a great bottom 6 forward, potting the odd point. I think the Yelle comparisons are valid for his affinity for blocking shots but having said that I was too young to really appreciate the kind of player Stern was. At any rate, Bouma consistently brings effort, and in my mind is underrated- not necessarily around this site as he does get praise, but by media, papers, etc. He isn't talked about much, and he should be talked about more.
Shore- I like that we have Shore. Estrada mentioned (what seemed like) concern that now there will be a carousel of forwards maybe sitting because of too many bodies. In my opinion, GOOD! We need that competition and drive to keep guys skating and wanting to be in the lineup. This is one of the qualities of the Flames over the last couple years that I love the ability to move guys in and out if they aren't playing well to drive that motivation to play.
I'm a little confused why Florida would do this trade, to be honest. A lot of people seem pumped to get Shore, and Knight was never going to be a mainstay here- too much competition. Also, does Shore's addition push back any Baertschi call ups?
