Warrener's great because he's a complete 180 from most sports pundits. They're usually obsessive nerds with a comprehensive knowledge of facts but little personality or insight into the people who play the game. Warrener has personality (the duffus things is an act, and a funny one) and he understands players, but doesn't know any more about league stats or news than the average fan.
And for a former pro athlete, he's refreshingly candid. But that's probably another thing that irks some fans - he pops the fantasy bubble.
