Minnesota is quite bad
Disgusting. I have never seen one of "my" teams outright quit like this team has.
I didn't think they were a contender this season, but they should not be this bad, either. Except they totally are.
I hate the idea of firing the coach as a "wake up call", and I don't put a lot of stock in the "he lost the room" argument. But, at this point, something must change. And it gets harder and harder to argue against the idea that they're still willing to play hard for him.
Yeo has received the dreaded vote of confidence from Fletcher. He has had two blow-ups in practice and the team keeps sliding.
I don't pin the goaltending on Yeo, by the way. And it has been atrocious.
I think the "strip Koivu of the C and give it to Parise" thing is absurd on its face, and won't make a bit of difference either way.
Fletcher has said Yeo is absolutely safe, but then has also said he can't or doesn't want to make the deals that are out there. You can't have it both ways.
Now, at this point I would prefer they roll with what they have. I would be totally fine to wake up on draft day and find the Wild in the top 5 - or better.
I'm usually pretty sensitive to entitlement, but really, as a Wild fan I deserve better than this. As boring as some of those Lemaire teams were, they never quit.
