Well for me it's more like, Bouwmeester isn't some awe-inspiring hockey legend like Iginla. Iginla if brought back could be awkward with the growth of the current leadership group. Hell I suspect that could be what happened in Colorado. You have a young captain like Landeskog and suddenly hockey legend Jarome Iginla is here and Avs legend Tanguay is his best bud and line mate.
JBo is just a big minute guy, steady and reliable and could really upgrade our defense right now, and would fit with the style of play perfectly. Bouwmeester worked his ass off here IMO. I always thought he was our best defenseman. If there was a country club he was too shy to be part of it
