Why can't you? Are you saying it has to be a singular same event for everyone?
e.g. The causes of MS are largely as yet unknown but it is believed in many cases it could be genetic, whilst at the same time there are strong suggestions that there are emvironmental risk factors. Is that asinine to suggest that?
Maybe it is nothing but regardless the sample size is large and the correlation is strong enough imo to warrant further investigation. And the thing is it's not going to be an expensive undertaking. The data is already collected.
