I know it sounds like I'm down on Arnold, it's actually quite the opposite. I see a lot of the same traits that Backlund has in terms of intelligence on the ice, and the ability to do things properly. He might not have the raw ability to be a top 6 center at the NHL level, but I think he could be one of the better 3rd line centers in a couple years. He's very good and is able to play well with skilled players, something that is hard to find outside of similarly talented forwards.
