Additional outrage is because the (alleged) pedophile holds a position of trust and privilege in the community.
My thoughts are focused on the girl and hope that there are supports to get her through this, and that the support continues long term.
My thoughts are not AT ALL on the RCMP's reputation and how this can be spun to protect the "brand". That isn't anywhere near my radar on this story.

At no point did I say it wasn't sad! I completely feel for the victim and the family. What I was trying to say is it's sad that the only reason this is in the media is because it's an RCMP member that was accused. Hundreds of other victims of sexual assault don't get media, cause sadly it happens quite often and we (the public) don't hear about it. Cases like this it doesn't matter what allegiances the accused has, like i said if he's guilty I hope he burns!
