you're just furthering what crapshoot said; the Flames do have a lot of other strong leaders in the room. McGrattan seems like an awesome guy but this team has a lot of other leaders that also lead by example of how the game is played today. Saying the oilers have no leadership really has nothing to do with the McGrattan situation at all unless you think that McGrattan is the only leader or the most important leader and without him the Flames will become party bois like the oilers.
Again, McGrattan seems like a great guy and I hope he helps a lot of people in the future but he'll do so as a person, not as a hockey player. It would be great if he could get on with the Flames as some kind of conditioning coach but they are better without him playing. The Flames will not turn into the oilers without him.
