The fact that they are brothers is irrelevant. GMs are not going to take a lesser talent, simply because he is related to another player.
NHL hockey is big business, with annual budgets in the nine digits. They employ teams of pro and amateur scouts, along with full management hierarchies. They are fully aware of the value of players and don't acquire players without thoroughly researching and scouting them.
No team is going to pick up a guy, or pay more for him, because of his last name.
