I would assume he thought Hiller would bounce back. The way Hiller started the year he has gained some conidenc in his coach. I kinda agree on letting the vet fall on the grenade this game. Ortio is killing it in the AHL this year and had a #### 24 hours of travel. Hartley obviously sees everything better than the fans do. He's coaching it after all. He sees the whole team play bad so no need to throw a confident rookie goalie into a dumpster fire like this game.
