CALGARY, AB -- The Calgary Flames announced today that they have acquired centre Drew Shore from the Florida Panthers in exchange for centre Corban Knight.
Shore, a native of Littleton, Colorado, was drafted by the Panthers in the second round (44th overall) in the 2009 NHL Draft. This season, the 23-year-old has 30 points in 35 games with the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League and is tied for 11th in AHL scoring. On Tuesday, the 6-foot-3, 200-pound. centre was also named to the roster for the AHL All-Star Classic.
Shore has played 67 career NHL games for the Panthers recording eight goals and 12 assists. He also played for Team U.S.A. in the 2014 World Championships where he recorded two points (1G, 1A) in eight games.
