Bollig was an every day player for a very good Chicago team. I think the Flames hoped was that he could at least improve the fourth line if not grow into something a little more.
Hasn't happened. Hell, given McGrattan managed 4g 4a last year, I'm not sure Bollig hasn't made us a bit worse. It was worth a shot though, and while I think the team intended Bollig to be the succession plan for McGrattan, it seems that plan may involve Bollig eating popcorn more often than not.
