I'm trying to get the hell out of that social cesspool named Quebec.
This is a society in profound, irreversible decline, a society that has the lowest birthrate in the entire world, the oldest province in Canada (where the average resident is over 40-45 year old), the most welfare recipients in Canada, the highest suicide rate in males aged 18-25, one of the highest suicide rate in men period, strong and potent feminist/leftist brainwashing in every area of society, big ass unions, big government, separatists, foreign investments impossible because of separatists, foreign, multinational companies refusing to go to Quebec because of separatists, heavy protectionnism and strong xenophobic/nationalist sentiments directed unfairly against anyone that is different of french-canadians.
They try to lowkey blame the ills of Quebec society on newcomers and anyone not french-canadian...ridiculous!
The worst : Quebec citizens pay the most taxes in North America, and the social services, the services from the government suck. We pay a lot but get nothing in return. Pure precarity. The healthcare system sucks too, we dont even have a private healthcare system....
I see a lot of highly qualified immigrants from france, belgium, north africa, sub-saharan africa struggling to get their competences recognized by Quebec employers, competences/knowledge that they acquired with the help of rigourous education and training in universities in Europe, and work experience. They seduce immigrants by saying that Quebec needs them, that Quebec makes the american dream in french possible
, basically saying that Quebec is the perfect place ever. And these french and belgian people, these francophones all over, they buy into the propaganda and think they can have a good life there...no! Quebec's work field is extremely closed off to immigrants, especially if they are highly qualified. The local workers are obviously less-qualified than these immigrants, they know it and make sure to block their advancements. They claim to need french-speaking immigration, as a way to reinforce their culture..but its false! They are ignorant xenophobes and hate everything not local. They hate french people from france, blacks, arabs, muslims, anglophone canadians(they hate Ontario/ Alberta with passion), americans, jews, etc...
That province is corrupted, bankrupt, badly managed by a outdated caste of greedy, senile, ignorant, incompetent baby-boomers. Quebec combines the worst of socialism and capitalism, brehs. Its nice here on the short term, if you want to enjoy life as a unapologetic hedonist, with beautiful french-canadian brunettes with blue/brown eyes, decent restaurants, a cool party atmosphere, and lovely women of other countries. Its fun and we have a winning hockey team
..but on the longterm, for serious things(raising a family, getting a longterm, solid job, honesty from government, longterm friendships) it sucks.
Note: I'm not a french-canadian/purelaine Québécois! I speak french, because I had to, the 101 law said that children of immigrants(my case)
(and children of native french-canadians too) HAVE to learn french, and attend exclusively french-speaking schools until cegeps(college) Its a way to preserve the culture of Quebec
I heard how well Alberta is doing. My friends in Southern Ontario, they are all speaking about the remarkable economic prosperity of Alberta, affordable life, abundant employment, low cost of life, the oil sands, etc. A lot of people in Quebec too. I dont want to leave Canada, I was born here and this is my country. Alberta is where I want to live, the taxation system seems reasonable, etc but I am afraid to go there and see that the Alberta boom is over...pleasure reassure me...
I really want to escape Quebec, I feel that I dont have a future here. I aint paying healthcare taxes for old ass baby-boomers xenophobic, two-faced hypocrites ala Lapierre, Tremblay, Gaudreaults. In a struggling local quebec economy with few jobs available(you need to have a lot of contacts to be hired in any field, they dont care about your degrees/diplomas here, who you know > what you know)
I will even go to freaking edmonton if its decent economically there...everything to leave this cursed province!
