Plus one for the "Glencross is hugely under appreciated" camp. Seems to me that for all the whining about him, his biggest flaw is that he is not under 26 years old. The production for the money is ridiculous. I know that this doesn't much matter on a cap floor team, but it does show how much he wanted to stay with the Flames and how much he loves southern Alberta. I also agree with people who worry about giving him lots of term if he is re-signed, however. Would be fine with a three year deal, even for substantial dollars. I think he is the perfect veteran on a team with lots of youth—able to take the tough assignments and produce positive results while not needing to hog the offensive assignments that many players in his position would demand. If young players take over the top line wing duties in the next couple of years, he can be just as effective on the third line.
