I believe sureloss posted something that its more tied to time being up in the NHL and the fact the NHL team will have to pay for accommodations if they player is sent down rather than the grand statement it is often assumed to be.

Yeah, there is a reason that Hartley avoids commenting on that scenario. I think it's a league rule that a player has to have a full time residence in the city after 30 days with the team or something.
I think the team is supposed to pay their rent in the even they get sent down (I could be wrong about that though).
Speaking of which, where is Bennett staying through all of this? It wouldn't surprise me if he was sleeping on a bench in the weight room.
